Keynote Address by Imam Hossain Mohammad Salim
Addressing the massive gathering during the prize distribution ceremony, Imam Hossain Mohammad Salim emphasized that sports are a vital tool for character building and societal reform.
“The purpose of our sports initiatives across Bangladesh is not mere entertainment. It is a strategic effort to rescue our youth from drugs, digital addiction, and moral decay. An idle brain is the devil’s workshop. We want our youth to return to the fields, sweat it out, and build the physical and mental fortitude required for nation-building,” he stated.
A Call for Tawheed-Based Nation Building
Connecting physical fitness with spiritual duty, the Imam urged the youth to channel their energy towards establishing truth and justice.
“The strength you gain through sports must be utilized for a higher purpose—the struggle to establish a state based on Tawheed (the Oneness of God). Human-made systems have failed us; only the divine system can guarantee peace and justice. The youth must lead this charge.”
He further criticized the deceptive nature of contemporary politics, advocating for a system where people have the right to choose the divine law over failed governance models.
Advocating for Healthy Culture
During the cultural segment performed by the ‘Mati Cultural Group’, Imam Salim clarified misconceptions regarding arts in Islam. He asserted that Islam is not against music or culture, provided it is free from obscenity.
“Music that inspires humanity, unity, and struggle against injustice is not haram. We advocate for a healthy culture that strengthens the soul and motivates people to sacrifice for the truth, just as poetry and songs did during the time of the Prophet (PBUH).”
Distinguished Guests & Honors
The event was presided over by organizing committee president Md. Mijanur Rahman Mojnu. Special guests included Hezbut Tawheed General Secretary Nizam Uddin, Joint General Secretary Dr. Mahbub Alam Mahfuz, and Women’s Department Secretary Rufaidah Panni, among others.
At the closing ceremony, Imam Hossain Mohammad Salim presented trophies and prize money to the champions and runners-up. He also honored the organizers, including Riyal Talukder (Vice President, Pinnacle Sports) and Hridoy Sheikh, for their exceptional management of the tournament.
The event, broadcast live on social media, resonated with viewers nationwide, reinforcing the Pinnacle Sports Association’s commitment to creating a physically strong and morally upright generation.
