Pledge Statement
A Pledge to Live by Truth Unity and Discipline
For the establishment of the true Deen based on the Tawheed of Allah on earth, Allah gave His final Prophet a five-point program. The Prophet struggled throughout his life according to this program and, before leaving this world, entrusted his Ummah with the responsibility to continue this struggle. This pledge is based on that program.
1. Unity
I will remain united with the other members of this movement like steel. I will not say or do anything that harms unity. I will not hold disagreements. If any difference of opinion arises, I will remain silent and leave the matter to the decision of the leader. Once the leader’s decision is made, I will implement it even at the cost of my life and wealth. I will believe that the members of this movement are my brothers and sisters, closer than blood relations.
2. Vigilance
I will always remain alert and attentive to the commands and instructions of the leader.
3. Obedience
I will obey the leader’s commands completely and without hesitation. Whether I like or dislike the command, or whether it seems right or wrong to me, I will carry it out without delay. I will not worry about loss of property or even life. I will not disobey any command except if it contradicts obligatory religious law. Even voluntary acts of worship may be postponed if instructed by the leader. Once a leader is appointed, I will not question his qualifications. I will obey immediately, regardless of hardship, danger, or circumstances.
4. Hijrah (Separation)
I will believe that I and the members of this movement are guided and are striving to remain on the straight path (Sirat al-Mustaqim). I consider myself separate and distinct from the rest of the world. Even if I live among them, I am not one of them. Due to distortion in belief and lack of true guidance, even if others perform prayers, fasting, Hajj, Zakat, and other acts of worship, they will not benefit them. I will not perform worship with them. I will worship only with the brothers and sisters of this movement. I declare my separation from the current distorted form of Islam and will not participate in political activities.
5. Struggle (Jihad for Establishing Truth)
I will always remember that the purpose of unity, discipline, obedience, and Hijrah is to establish the Tawheed of Allah and the true Deen (Sirat al-Mustaqim) on earth. I will also remember that if any of these weaken, success in this struggle (Jihad) will not be possible. The Messenger of Allah has said that whoever departs even slightly from this bond of unity, discipline, obedience, Hijrah, and struggle will have the bond of Islam removed from their neck unless they repent and return. Those who call to any program other than this, regardless of their claims or acts of worship, will ultimately face severe consequences.
