With the slogan “No more hatred, Bangladesh for all” (Ar Noy Biddesh, Sobar Jonno Bangladesh), an apolitical and non-profit organization named ‘Sobar Jonno Bangladesh’ organized a discussion meeting in Kushtia. The meeting took place today, Sunday (September 13, 2026), at 3:00 PM in a local auditorium in Kushtia city.
The main theme of the event was presented by the convener, Hossain Mohammad Selim. The discussion placed special emphasis on preserving the country’s non-communal heritage and mutual harmony.
Among others who spoke at the meeting were Professor Swapan Mahmud of Kushtia Government College, who is also the Khulna Divisional Representative of Bangla Theater and the Bangladesh Group Theater Federation; Rakibul Hasan Ripon, President of the Meherpur Theater and Cultural Organization; Dr. Fazle Elahi, Advisor to the Dhaka Mazar Darbar Rokkha Committee; Lyricist and Advisor to the Pabna Baul Committee Abul Kalam Master; President of the Pabna Baul Samity Md. Abul Baul; Peer Saheb of Pabna Md. Mokaram Hossain; and Vice President of the Bangladesh National Front (BNF) Kushtia District Branch Md. Mosharraf Hossain.
Distinguished intellectuals, lawyers, journalists, teachers, political leaders, cultural personalities, social workers, and other respected local figures from all walks of life in Kushtia district participated in the discussion meeting.
